Vent Unit | Skilled Nursing | Fountain View – Cincinnati, OH (Silverton Area)

Fountain View is seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our day shift team in our specialized ventilator and skilled nursing unit . This position is ideal for an RT who enjoys collaborative daytime care, interdisciplinary teamwork, and making a direct impact on residents with complex respiratory needs.

Position Overview

As a Day Shift Respiratory Therapist, you will provide comprehensive respiratory care to residents requiring ventilator support, trach care, and advanced pulmonary management. You will work closely with nursing, physicians, and clinical leadership to ensure highquality care, safety, and positive outcomes throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor ventilators and respiratory equipment
• Perform respiratory assessments and respond to changes in condition
• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered
• Provide tracheostomy care, suctioning, and airway management
• Ensure ventilator settings, alarms, and equipment function properly
• Accurately document treatments, assessments, and interventions
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
• Support admissions, care planning, and ongoing resident evaluations
• Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license (RRT or CRT) in the state of Ohio
• Ventilator experience required (SNF, LTACH, hospital, or ICU preferred)
• Strong assessment and clinical decisionmaking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced clinical environment
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Skilled nursing or longterm care experience preferred
