Senior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a dynamic and fast-paced accounting team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in overseeing core accounting functions, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring alignment with U.S. GAAP standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards
• Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance and operational teams to improve processes and efficiencies
• Maintain documentation of accounting procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Minimum of 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge and practical application of U.S. GAAP
• Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger management
• Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA or CPA-track candidate preferred
• Experience in a mid-to-large size organization or public accounting background is a plus
• Exposure to ERP systems and process improvement initiatives
