Audiologist – Veteran Disability Assessments
We are looking for a committed Audiologist to become a part of our team, focusing on conducting medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as part of the disability benefits process managed by the VA. In this position, you will assess the Veteran's medical history, which will be accessible through a secure online portal, prior to administering the Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. Following these assessments, you will fill out a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) within the portal, creating the necessary medical documentation for the VA to evaluate the Veteran’s eligibility for benefits.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct in-person disability assessments for U.S. Veterans.
- Review and interpret electronic medical records through a secure web portal.
- Accurately document examination results and complete the required VA forms.
Note: This position does not include prescribing medical treatments or devices. The determination of disability is made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), not by the provider.
Schedule:- Part-Time: 2 days per week (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
- Average caseload: 3-6 Veterans per day.
- Computer and all necessary documentation tools.
- A compassionate Audiologist who is dedicated to assisting the Veteran community.
- Strong analytical abilities to evaluate medical records and assessment data.
- Proficient in electronic documentation and web-based systems.
- A professional and empathetic approach when interacting with Veterans.
- Must hold a Doctorate in Audiology and have graduated from an ASHA Accredited School.
- Current licensure as an Audiologist is required.
