Associate HR/People Business Partner

Responsibilities

• Oversee HR transactions related to onboarding of new employees, status changes for existing employees, and terminations of employees.
• Provide interpretation of HR policies and procedures as they relate to individuals and company objectives.
• Prepare reports and data to present to other areas of the business.
• Spearhead employee relations claims, start the discovery process, and gather information relating to the situations.
• Manage unemployment claim inquiries and background check adjudication requests.
• Communicate company and government rules, regulations, and procedures and ensure compliance to management and employees.
• Stay current on federal and state employment laws.
• Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
• Demonstrate a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values; work to reach agreement where appropriate.
• Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
• Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Advanced math skills with the ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
