29276 Our client is a bastion of consumer goods manufacturing in Northwest Ohio. They have a manufacturing facility west of Toledo, OH where they employee over 600 full-time employees. You will be provided excellent benefits with full family plans and great starting PTO. Benefits start the first of the month after hire date. You will enjoy the utmost in job stability and the opportunity to make an immediate impact for the organization! The current opening is for a Buyer. Main duties include:
- Work with suppliers and develop relationships
- Negotiate costs, contracts, and pricing
- Coordinate and track new model events
- Inventory control of parts
- Attend to vendor locations, travel out of state when necessary
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required
- Prior purchasing experience within a manufacturing operation
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Strong negotiation ability
- Experience with cost analysis
- Must be a critical thinker, highly analytical
