Maintenance Technician II

The Maintenance Technician II is an entry‑level role responsible for supporting the maintenance of facility infrastructure and material handling equipment across multiple distribution locations. This position focuses on preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and assisting senior technicians to ensure safe and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities Perform basic preventive maintenance (PMs) on forklifts, dock doors, and facility equipment Assist with troubleshooting and repair of material handling equipment (Crown, Toyota, Yale forklifts) Support maintenance of building systems, including lighting and minor electrical (bulbs, ballasts, fixtures), basic plumbing repairs (leaks, fixtures), HVAC filter changes, routine upkeep, Dock doors, levelers, and seals Respond to routine maintenance requests and work orders Assist with equipment installations and facility projects Maintain tools, work areas, and shop organization Accurately document completed work and report issues to supervisor Follow all safety procedures and company policies Work alongside and learn from Maintenance Technician II or Supervisor Qualifications 1–2 years of maintenance, mechanical, or related experience (warehouse, construction, automotive, etc.) Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Ability to safely use hand and power tools High school diploma or equivalent preferred Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills Strong work ethic and reliability Willingness to learn new systems and equipment Good communication and teamwork skills Attention to detail and safety awareness Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
