Voted the Valley's No. 1 best local employer, Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino is California's premier integrated resort offering lively gaming, world-class entertainment and luxurious accommodations, welcoming thousands of guests each year.Job DescriptionSUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring all painting requests be carried out and completed in accordance with Company standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Covering trim, floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paintSetting up ventilators and other safety equipment to protect painters from unhealthy fumesPreparing surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them until they're smoothPerforming preparatory procedures on assigned projects and organizing time to assure all proper steps are taken in completing and producing a finished jobApplying primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure that paint sticks to themApplying paint, stain and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers or sprayersApplying coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings and structuresSelecting premixed paints or mixing required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare paint to match specified colorsMixing and matching paint, stain and other finishes to job specificationsErecting scaffolding or setting up ladder to perform tasks above ground levelGraffiti removal from the interior and exterior of buildingsAssisting in maintaining records of projects; logging in length of time used to complete assigned jobs, supplies used, and expenses incurred, if anyMonitoring inventory of supplies and tools, and communicating low stock situations to Engineering Shift Supervisor/Predictive/Preventative Maintenance SupervisorMaintaining regular and consistent communication with Carpenter/Painter and/or Shift Supervisor regarding progress on assignments, obstacles preventing timely completion, cost overruns, etc.Completing assignments in compliance with all policies, procedures, and safety standardsAny reasonable request made by managementPERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily:Perform job duties, demonstrate excellent work habits, and deliver exceptional service to internal and external guestsExhibit the highest degree of professionalism, including appearance, attendance, reliability, teamwork, ethics, integrity, and comply with all governing policies and proceduresEmploy positive and professional communication skills and exercise professional interpersonal abilities (tact, diplomacy, and respect) with guests and co-workers at all timesMaintain a high level of organization, including an orderly and neat work area and excellent time management skills leading to the highest levels of productivityDemonstrate a desire to succeed and willingness to help others succeedParticipate in open communication and provide feedback to management regarding operations, staffing, personal development, and operational productivityServe as contributing Team Member of CGRC enhancing operations in all its business endeavorsQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must possess advanced knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, practices, and tools used in painting trade and ability to properly apply paints.
