Cashier - 32629We are currently looking for a Part Time 38 Cashier to join our Ada Travel Gaming Operations Unit 6 team located at the Chickasaw Travel Stop #555.Summary: Operates cash register and stocks store. Promotes signature products by providing the highest level of customer service and ensures a winning experience.Responsibilities: * Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency * Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities * Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types - Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment - Maintains and promotes professionalism - Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics - Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards * Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area * Cleans assigned area - Cleans and sweeps floors - Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms - May empty ash trays - Disposes of trash - May clean exterior areas such as parking lots and sidewalks - Aligns seats close to machines in gaming areas * Operates point-of-sale terminal to tally customer purchases and ensure accurate payment is received - Provides accurate change for cash purchases - Processes discounts, refunds, exchanges, coupons accurately - Balances register/terminal and completes reports for receipts, cash balance - May perform minor trouble shooting of POS - Maintains accurate cash count and assume responsibility for any shortages at end of shift - May be responsible to confirm POS pricing updates * Audits register and change box funds by auditing account shortages and overages through process of counting their shift bag down before and after closing out shift * Stocks inventory several times during shift by placing products on display shelf for customer availability * Promotes products to increase guest satisfaction and store sales * Performs all other duties as assignedCompetencies: Essential: * Able to follow instructions, both written and oral * Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements * Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability * Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines * Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and managementSkills: Essential: * Quickly and accurately count back customer's changeExperience: Essential: * No prior experience required Nonessential: * 1 year directly related experienceEducation: Essential: * High School, GED or EquivalentCredentials: Essential: * Pass gaming background checkWorking Conditions: Essential: * May work where cigarette smoking occurs * Sometimes lift and or carry up to 50 lbs * Standing up to 100% of shift * Walking up to 100% of shiftTraining *It is the responsibility of each employee to attend required training for their position or profession as determined by their line of support (LOS) or the leadership of the Chickasaw Nation.
