Senior Manager Financial Planning Analysis

Unified Disposal Partners Position Summary Unified Disposal Partners is seeking a highly analytical and results‑driven Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to support strategic decision‑making, operational performance, and financial growth across our solid waste collection, hauling, recycling, transfer, and disposal operations. This role will partner closely with executive leadership and operational teams to provide financial insights, budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and profitability analysis that improve operational efficiency and long‑term enterprise value. The FP&A Manager will play a critical role in evaluating route profitability, landfill and transfer station economics, fleet utilization, labor productivity, fuel management, capital expenditures, acquisitions, and market expansion opportunities. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Forecasting Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling monthly forecasts across all business units. Develop long‑term financial models supporting strategic growth initiatives and acquisitions. Analyze trends in revenue, disposal volumes, labor, fuel, maintenance, and operating costs. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for leadership. Operational Financial Analysis Monitor route profitability, customer margins, and service line performance. Analyze fleet utilization, maintenance expenses, overtime trends, and fuel efficiency metrics. Support pricing strategy development through market and margin analysis. Evaluate transfer station, landfill, and hauling economics to improve profitability. KPI & Performance Reporting Develop and maintain operational dashboards and performance scorecards. Track KPIs including: EBITDA margins Revenue per route Tons collected/disposed Fuel cost per mile Labor cost per stop Fleet downtime Customer churn Safety‑related financial impacts Identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting company performance. Strategic Finance & Business Support Support mergers, acquisitions, and integration analysis. Perform ROI and payback analysis for capital projects, fleet investments, and equipment purchases. Assist leadership with strategic planning initiatives and operational improvement projects. Partner with operations leaders to improve cost controls and financial accountability. Systems & Process Improvement Improve financial reporting automation and forecasting accuracy. Support ERP, routing, and operational system integrations. Develop standardized reporting processes and financial controls. Ensure data integrity across financial and operational systems. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. 5+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, or operational finance experience. Experience in transportation, logistics, waste management, industrial services, or asset‑intensive industries preferred. Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel skills. Experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work cross‑functionally with operational and executive teams. Preferred Experience Waste collection, recycling, landfill, or transportation industry experience. Private equity‑backed company experience. Multi‑location operational finance experience.
