Prime Healthcare is actively seeking new members to join our corporate team! We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Advocate to support patients in navigating and enrolling in Medicaid coverage in the state of Illinois. This role involves direct patient interaction, education on eligibility requirements, and hands-on assistance through the application process. Key Responsibilities: Assist patients in determining Medicaid eligibility based on Illinois state guidelines. Facilitate completion and submission of Medicaid applications and supporting documentation. Educate patients about healthcare benefits and coverage options. Liaise with state agencies and managed care organizations to track application status and resolve issues. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA standards. Provide ongoing support and follow-up to ensure successful enrollment and retention. Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to identify uninsured or underinsured patients. Stay current with changes to Illinois Medicaid policies and procedures. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, social work, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 1–2 years experience in healthcare advocacy, social services, Medicaid/insurance enrollment, or related field. Strong knowledge of Illinois Medicaid eligibility and application processes.
