Lead Caregiver / Home Health Aide Home Helpers Home Care of Westchase is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dependable Lead Caregiver to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a caregiver who enjoys leadership, mentoring others, and providing exceptional client care.

 
As a Lead Caregiver, you will serve as a clinical and operational resource for both our clients and caregiving team. You will help ensure continuity of care, support new caregivers, and assist with urgent staffing needs while maintaining the highest standards of compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities
·       Provide exceptional personal care and companionship to clients in their homes.
·       Maintain flexible availability to assist with open shifts, last-minute assignments, and emergency staffing needs.
·       Be available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and other shifts as needed.
·       Travel to multiple client locations within our service area.
·       Assist in developing and updating individualized care plans based on each client's current needs while working alongside the agency's established care plan.
·       Conduct client visits to evaluate care needs, ensure quality of service, and strengthen relationships with clients and their families.
·       Mentor, orient, and train new caregivers in the home setting to ensure quality care and consistency.
·       Provide coaching and ongoing support to caregivers to promote best practices and agency standards.
·       Respond to on-call situations and assist with emergency shift coverage when needed.
·       Communicate effectively with office staff regarding client condition changes, caregiver concerns, and scheduling needs.
·       Maintain accurate documentation and timely completion of care notes.
·       Represent Home Helpers professionally while building trust with clients, families, and fellow caregivers.

Qualifications
·       Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
·       Minimum of 2 years of professional caregiving experience (leadership or mentoring experience preferred).
·       Knowledge of personal care, dementia care, fall prevention, and safe patient handling.
·       Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
·       Flexible schedule with the ability to accept open and urgent assignments.
·       Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and willingness to travel throughout the service area.
·       Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and adapt quickly to changing situations.
·       Ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, and caregivers.
·       Current CPR certification preferred.
·       Level II background screening (or ability to successfully complete one).
