Estimator/Repair Planner
D&S Automotive was founded in 1977 and has since grown to become a leader in Northeast Ohio collision repair and automobile restyling. With three locations in Mentor and Chardon, the company is locally owned and headquartered in Mentor, Ohio. This is a full-time opportunity that works during the 7:45 am - 5:30 pm time frame, Monday through Friday. The Repair Planners/Estimator will report to the Collision Manager and pay will commensurate with the chosen candidate's experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead disassembly of vehicles and manage all documentation of damage by utilizing our estimating system and taking digital photos
- Assist in establishing a realistic repair plan based on parts' delivery dates and current shop volume
- Create an estimate for repairs
- Explain repair process, parts used for repairs, and expectations for repairs to the customer
- Work with the Parts Department to acquire needed parts to complete repair
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of auto body estimating experience is required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background/credit check
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365
- Skillful with the CCC One estimating program or equivalent
