Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. Ensures patient safety, comfort, and support throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to assess patient status.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress and clinical interventions.
• Educate mothers and families on childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum care.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, providing essential interventions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid MT nursing license or qualifying compact license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery, OB, or Postpartum RN experience.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate AWHONN required.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor fetal and maternal vital signs accurately.
• Strong knowledge of obstetric assessment and emergency response protocols.
