Surgical Scrub Tech FT

Citrus Heights Surgery Center – FT Surgical Scrub Tech You will anticipate the needs of the surgical team, establish and maintain a sterile field during procedures, and ensure the safety of the operating room environment. The role reports to the Clinical Director/Administrator. Responsibilities Ensure sterility of all supplies and instruments during setup of surgical procedures. Assist the circulating nurse and surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment. Assist in gathering necessary surgical supplies and equipment. Conduct sponge, needle, and instrument counts pre‑operatively and intra‑operatively with the circulating nurse. Retain all specimens for pathology and confirm source/name with the surgeon. Use standard universal precautions, appropriate hand hygiene, personal protective equipment, and safe practices to ensure personal safety. Follow all equipment and safety guidelines and maintain knowledge of equipment use and care. Qualifications One year of experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. General familiarity with medical terminology related to anatomy and surgical procedures in an operating room. Salary & Benefits Salary Range: $38.03 – $47.54 per hour. Wages are determined based on qualifications and experience.
