VCA Valley Animal Hospital in Roanoke, VA is seeking a full-time experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

We are a fast-paced practice offering Primary Care, Surgery, Dentistry, and more. Our hours are Monday 7:30 am 7:30 pm, Tuesday through Friday 7:30 am 5:30 pm, Saturday 7:30 am 12:30 pm, Closed Sundays.

About the Role

As a Veterinary Assistant, you will support our team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Duties will include:

• Compassionate patient care
• Client education and care
• Obtaining patient history from clients
• Filling prescriptions
• Preparing suite and surgery and dentistry patients
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
• Maintaining medical records
• Safe and effective patient handling and restraint

Compensation: $16 - $17 / hour based on skill set and experience.
