Attorney Position At Kaufman DolowichThe Hackensack, New Jersey office of Kaufman Dolowich, a full-service National Law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas, is actively seeking an attorney to join our growing litigation practice.The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation, research, writing, and advocacy skills, with experience independently managing matters through all phases of litigation. This position offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated professional liability matters and work closely with a collaborative team representing a diverse range of professionals and businesses.ResponsibilitiesIndependently manage all phases of professional liability litigation from inception through resolutionDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation-related filingsConduct and defend depositionsAttend and advocate at court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and other proceedingsDevelop and execute litigation strategies while maintaining strong client relationshipsHandle matters involving professional negligence, malpractice, errors and omissions claims, and other complex liability disputesManage discovery, motion practice, expert witness coordination, and case deadlines in both state and federal courtsCollaborate with partners and clients to provide strategic guidance and achieve favorable outcomesQualificationsMinimum of 3 years of litigation experienceAdmission to practice in New Jersey required; New York admission is a plusExperience handling matters in state and federal courtDemonstrated experience drafting and arguing motions, conducting depositions, and representing clients in mediations and arbitrationsStrong courtroom presence and advocacy skillsExcellent legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and communication abilitiesAbility to independently manage an active caseload and prioritize competing deadlinesExperience in professional liability, legal malpractice, insurance defense, or complex commercial litigation is preferredWhy Join Kaufman Dolowich?Collaborative and entrepreneurial culture with strong mentorship and supportSignificant opportunities for professional growth, client development, and advancementUnlimited PTO for AttorneysCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageRobust discretionary and billable-based bonus opportunitiesMeaningful client contact and hands-on litigation experienceBase Salary Range: $135,000-$170,000Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer.
