Specialist, Software Engineer - Grant

Salary: $100,000 - 145,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related discipline plus at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• We will also consider candidates with a graduate degree and at least 2 years of related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, we require a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• We require an active TS/SCI clearance.
• We strongly prefer an active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
• We value experience spanning both embedded and web application environments.
• We prefer hands-on React and modern JavaScript development experience for user-facing applications.
• We look for experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD workflows, and containerized software delivery.
• We prefer experience developing or integrating software in Linux-based environments.
• We seek background in embedded software, backend services, full stack applications, or web application development.
• We value practical programming experience with C++, Python, or JavaScript.
• We prefer familiarity with version control, code reviews, debugging, and automated build or test workflows.
• We look for experience with Docker-based development environments, containerized applications, or DevOps-oriented delivery practices.
• We need someone who can contribute effectively as an individual contributor on a technical team supporting secure, mission-focused programs.

• We design, develop, integrate, test, and sustain software solutions across embedded systems, backend services, and web-based applications.
• We build and maintain software using C++, Python, JavaScript, and React in support of mission and program needs.
• We support containerized development and deployment workflows with Docker and established DevOps practices to improve delivery speed, consistency, and reliability.
• We collaborate with systems engineering, software engineering, integration, and program teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with operational and customer requirements.
• We troubleshoot software issues, resolve defects, improve performance, and solve technical problems throughout the development lifecycle.
• We create and maintain technical documentation, code artifacts, and engineering deliverables that support integration, testing, deployment, and long-term sustainment.
