You will train and inspire your team to achieve the store sales plan and work strategically to maximize store revenue while managing all aspects of sales and merchandising. This includes hiring effectively, performance management, employee relations, and partnership with Human Resources and the Regional Manager. Responsibilities Hire, develop, lead, and motivate the team through performance coaching, feedback, and training. Foster the Herman Miller Client Experience. Engage in performance management on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Ensure the Studio represents the best in presentation by utilizing visual directives and our standards manual. Ensure all Studio operational procedures are followed to maximize profit and manage expense control goals (e.g., scheduling and managing store shipments, controllable expenses, and supplies). Resolve employee relations issues of sales team members in partnership with HR. Deliver the Sales Plan. Qualifications Minimum 3 to 5 years of retail management experience. Excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal communication skills, with strong emphasis on listening; demonstrated people management skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment. Ability to inspire a team to conduct effective demonstrations in a high traffic environment. Ability to adhere to high personal performance standards, integrity, business ethics, and a desire for continuous improvement. Ability to build relationships and trust with direct reports, peers, and store clientele. Financial literacy, business acumen and ability to manage budgetary responsibilities. Experience with a POS system and proficiency with MS Office, web navigation, and 3‑D rendering programs. Able to routinely move objects weighing more than 20 pounds and understand safety requirements.
