Position Purpose:The Corporate Vice President & Chief Litigation Counsel will lead the company’s global litigation and dispute resolution strategy, with a focus on the unique legal and regulatory risks facing fintech and SaaS businesses. This role serves as the senior-most litigation expert, partnering closely with executive leadership to protect the organization’s legal, financial, and reputational interests while enabling innovation and growth in a highly regulated environment.The role will oversee all disputes, litigations, regulatory inquiries, and enforcement matters, while shaping proactive risk mitigation strategies aligned to evolving global legal and regulatory frameworks impacting financial technology, payments, data privacy, and digital platforms.Key Responsibilities: Lead and execute the company’s global litigation and dispute resolution strategy across all jurisdictionsOversee all phases of litigation, including pre-litigation risk assessment, case strategy, discovery, trial, settlement negotiations, and appealsManage and direct outside counsel to ensure high-quality representation and cost-effective outcomesAdvise executive leadership on litigation exposure, risk, and reputational impactLead responses to regulatory inquiries, government investigations, and enforcement actions, particularly those related to fintech, payments, consumer protection, and data privacyPartner closely with Compliance, Risk, Product, Security, Privacy and Engineering teams to proactively identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risksCounsel executives and business counsel on dispute-related provisions in customer and vendor agreements, and pre-litigation dispute resolution involving those agreementsDevelop and implement litigation policies, procedures, and governance frameworks tailored to a high-growth SaaS and fintech environmentDrive alternative dispute resolution strategies where appropriate to minimize exposure and costOversee eDiscovery strategy, data preservation, and litigation readiness processes, including issues related to large-scale digital data and cross-border data transfersMonitor and assess changes in global regulatory and legal landscapes (e.g., payments regulations, financial services compliance, data privacy laws) and translate them into actionable litigation risk strategiesProvide clear, concise reporting to senior leadership and the Board on material litigation and regulatory mattersBuild, lead, and develop a high-performing litigation team, fostering a culture of accountability, strategic thinking, and business partnershipQualifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolActive bar membership in good standing15+ years of litigation experience, with significant experience both as trial or litigation counsel and as in-house counsel supporting fintech, financial services, or SaaS companiesDemonstrated experience managing complex, high-value litigation and regulatory enforcement mattersStrong knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks impacting fintech (e.g., payments, consumer finance, data privacy, cybersecurity)Proven leadership experience with the ability to influence at the executive levelDeep expertise in litigation strategy, risk management, and dispute resolutionExperience managing outside counsel and legal budgetsExceptional judgment, communication, and stakeholder management skillsOffers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the jobEEO StatementIntegrated into our shared values is NCR Voyix’s commitment to equal employment opportunity.
