About the Position

Job Title: OR RN Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: OR (Operating Room) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours (8:30 PM - 7:00 AM, Monday - Thursday; On-call: 120 hours per contract in rotation with staff) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Trauma and Neuro experience; Scrubbing required Description: Hiring process includes profile review and an interview with the unit manager. Candidates must reside within a 60-mile radius. Week of orientation requires clinicians to be in state, even if first day modules are remote. Trauma and Neuro experience is mandatory. Charge nurse experience preferred, but charge and house supervisor available on shift. Two OR techs will be present on each shift. Charting system used is EPIC. Shifts do not allow self-scheduling. Call requirements include approximately 120 hours per contract in rotation with staff. Call response time is expected to be within 30 minutes. Floating to other units is only required in extreme situations. Scrubs will be provided for staff. Unit-specific orientation is included. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment.
