Field Application Engineer

Job Title: Field Application Engineer Location: Peoria, Illinois Job Type: Full time About the Job This role supports deployment, testing, and client‑facing operations of FieldAI's robotic systems—including drones, quadrupeds, and humanoid robots. The engineer will travel to project sites across the U.S., based out of our Peoria, Illinois office. Responsibilities Deploy and operate robotic systems in the field, support testing and data collection. Supervise remote operations and assist during client presentations and demos. Facilitate communication between engineers and non‑technical stakeholders. Document technical issues, test results, and client feedback in detail. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and contribute to continuous workflow improvement. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to iterate on system performance and usability. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field. Strong communication skills, able to translate complex technical topics for various audiences. Willingness to travel frequently across the country. Up‑to‑date passport and valid REAL ID or equivalent travel documentation (preferred). Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well in team‑based environments. Preferred Experience Hands‑on experience with robotics hardware (drones, quadrupeds, humanoids, etc.). Familiarity with basic electronics, sensors, and robotic subsystems. Basic coding/scripting skills (Python, C++, or similar). Prior experience in field testing, remote operations, or client‑facing tech roles. Compensation The salary range for this role depends upon experience, qualifications, and alignment with the outlined role.
