With locations in Pasadena, TX, Reserve, Louisiana and Chicago, Illinois. Summary: The dispatcher will handle incoming and outgoing communication with customers, drivers and internal departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and ability to multitask. The ability to respond to customer complaints and handle conflict in a professional and effective manner is essential. The candidate will ideally have experience with rail, steamship, port or freight forwarder companies and understands bookings & swings. Duties include (but not limited to): Dispatch and plan drivers for local intermodal / drayage operation. Ensure all customer requests are processed and received, including orders and pickup requests. Trace containers on rail websites to verify container locations, LFD, storage and rail billing. Build strong relationships with drivers and customers. Track and trace shipments for on-time performance and communicate status to the customer. Maintain a customer service attitude and provide excellent service. Enter and update data in company dispatch software for accuracy. Work and collaborate with other company departments.
