Specialty Abbeville General Hospital-AP-Physician-0021 State LA Location 118 N Hospital Dr. Abbeville, Louisiana 70510 Requirements Active state license, active LA DEA and CDS in hand, and active board certification in hand. Start month: ASAP. Estimated length of assignment: 12-18 months. Providers needed: 2 FT MD. Minimum shifts acceptable: 3. Certification: BC in EM/FM/IM with EM experience. No alternative boards accepted. Residency trained requirements: ATLS, ACLS, PALS, BALS required; if not ABEM, ATLS, ACLS and PALS required. Staffing model: MD 24 shifts per week; NPPA 12 shifts per week. Physician shift times: 6a-6p, 6p-6a. NPA shift times: 9a-9p M-W, 10a-8p Th-F, 12p-8p Sat & Sun. Call requirement: None. Annual volume: 16,000 patients. Patients per day: 45% EMS 12.40%, admitted patients 8%. Trauma level designation: N/A. Scribe coverage: No. # ED beds/Fast Track: 7 ED beds, 3 ICU beds. Backup specialties: Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Oncology, Podiatry, Surgery. EMR System: Cerner Community Works. Flu or other immunizations required; waiver not specified. Items needed to request application: Active State Medical License, CDS, DEA, CV and COI. Items needed for credentialing: Active State Medical License, CDS, & DEA (with LA address), ACLS and ATLS certified (unless ABEM‑certified & actively participating in ABEM’s continuing certification process). PALS, CME past 2 years, case logs past 2 years, copies of education & training diplomas, SS card, Driver’s License, Flu, TB, COVID Vaccine, Color Photo, Moderate Sedation. LA PCF Privileging timeframe: 60-90 days. Expedited Locum privileges: Yes with a clean file. Onboarding: EMR training then orientation.
