Electrical Technician

Electrical Technician Dayton, OH Join our Talent Network The Electrical Technician shall provide support for the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright‑Patterson AFB (WPAFB). Duties and Responsibilities Replace electrical components, and wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment. Use tools and common electrical instruments (e.g., multimeters, audio signal generators, tube researchers, oscilloscopes). Complete annual company and customer‑required training, as required. Complete timesheets daily in an online system according to company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) Degree from a two‑year resident course at a technical institution OR High school diploma or GED equivalent and 8+ years of technical experience or training as an electrical technician with emphasis in electrical maintenance, installation, and repair. Must be U.S. citizen. Background check and Public Trust/NACI required to start. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to read drawings and/or sketches following accepted engineering practices. Ability to comply with applicable codes and standards of contract. Ability to pass customer security requirements required. Ability to attend all customer in‑person meetings and conferences as required. Ability to self‑start and work independently or as a team. Ability to interact verbally and in writing with all levels of staff, government personnel, and management professionally. Possess strong problem‑solving skills. Travel up to 10% as required.
