Advanced LPN | Licensed Practical Nurse - Clinic Day Shift

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, providing compassionate and skilled care in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role supports physicians and mid-level providers by delivering patient assessments, treatments, testing, and education with professionalism and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Adhere to clinic policies ensuring patient safety, including infection control and safe patient handling. Administer medications via oral, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes as prescribed. Assist providers during procedures, maintaining sterile fields and managing instruments. Support examinations within the scope of licensure and perform phone triage. Serve as a liaison between patients and providers, communicating test results and answering patient inquiries. Document patient complaints and visit details accurately according to provider preferences. Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs and measurements. Manage and update medication lists and patient summaries. Perform point-of-care lab testing and collect specimens as ordered. Educate patients on electronic health record tools and provide supportive teaching. Schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including obtaining necessary authorizations. Train new LPNs and medical assistants in clinic protocols. Demonstrate accountability, teamwork, and reliability in attendance and performance. Education Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program and completion of an approved IV therapy course. Experience Previous nursing or healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory. Certifications and Licenses Current LPN license valid in the state of Missouri and American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification required. Physical and Mental Requirements Requires considerable mental focus, ability to lift up to 35 pounds, and perform activities involving standing, walking, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.
