Staff Accountant

SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will serve as a key contributor to the company’s core billing operations, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing for both commercial, foreign and government customers. In addition to its primary billing responsibilities, this role provides as needed support for accounts payable and general accounting activities. The position reports directly to the Billing Manager. What You'll Do Produce billing invoices in a commercial and government customer setting Provide backup and support to accounts payable Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis Perform other general accounting activities and complete analytical processes What You'll Bring Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 0+ years of related experience Must be able to work independently and have strong problem-solving skills Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel Position requires excellent communications skills, and a positive, customer service orientation Attention to detail Ways to Stand Out MBA, CPA or CMA Public accounting experience Experience in government billing Exposure to Deltek Costpoint (accounting system) What Sets Us Apart? Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $60,000 to $68,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
