Registered Nurse – Full Time Day Shift – 7a-3:30p + Call – Req 9353 Employer: Carthage Area Hospital Unit: Ambulatory Surgical Unit Location: Carthage, NY Position Type: Full Time, day shift, 7a-7:30p Posted: 03/30/2026 Requirement #: 9353 Pay Range: $39.61 – $56.12 Internal Posting Dates: March 30, 2026 – April 4, 2026 The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served. He/she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit’s standards of care. He/she demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department. Reports To OR Nurse Manager Education Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing Preferred Education Bachelor's of Nursing Licenses and Certifications Valid NYS RN licensure Valid BLS, ACLS and PALS within six (6) months of hire Preferred Certifications Peri-Op 101 Certification Training and Experience At least 5 years of Medical/Surgical experience Basic Computer knowledge Maintaining confidentiality of all patient information Maintaining quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory agencies Ability to implement and support procedures and programs pertaining to patient safety and security Exhibit proficient communication skills and ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a variety of personalities Ability to sustain attention to detail and accuracy as it pertains to the monitoring and documentation of information Maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients Acknowledging changes in a patient’s condition or behavior, and promptly reporting these changes to appropriate licensed nursing personnel All internal candidates must apply via our website.
