Pharmacy TechnicianJob ResponsibilitiesData entry of prescriptions and insurance adjudication.Fill medication orders for pharmacist review.Place daily order with drug wholesaler, facilitate pick up of medications from other pharmacies, and stock pharmacy medications and supplies.Maintain accurate logs pertaining to cleaning, refrigerator temperatures, etc. related to USP 797.Verify received drug shipments against invoice, and stock shelves.Return unused medication to stock or dispose of properly per policy.Prepare compounded products, checked by pharmacist.Other duties as assigned.Medication History ReconciliationCollect medication history by interviewing the patient, family or caregiver, reviewing charts, & calling pharmacies & physician officesIdentify errors in patient history & communicate with appropriate staffUpdate databaseCollect medication history for upcoming patients that are having surgery via phone callsEducation RequirementsMinimum: High School Diploma or equivalent with Indiana Pharmacy Technician license and National Accredited Certification.Experience RequirementsMinimum: Two (2) years of Pharmacy Technician experienceLicense/Certification RequirementsMinimum: Indiana Pharmacy Technician license and National Accredited CertificationEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
