Sales Representative

D.R. Horton, Inc., America's Builder, is the largest homebuilder in the United States. Founded in 1978 and listed on the New York Stock Exchange, the company constructs and sells high‑quality homes for entry‑level and first‑time move‑up buyers, while also offering mortgage financing and title services. The Sales Representative will manage the entire sales process while delivering excellent customer service. The role requires sourcing new customers, helping them design their dream home, and ensuring a smooth transaction from sale through construction. Responsibilities Effectively communicate D.R. Horton’s value proposition, product vision, and capabilities to potential customers. Uncover and understand customer goals and challenges, then establish D.R. Horton as the best solution available. Overcome objections and close sales. Maintain accurate documentation of transactions from sale through loan, options, and construction. Continuously source new sales opportunities. Create and provide to management a marketing plan for establishing new customer relationships. Network and perform outreach to realtors. Manage time efficiently, meet sales goals, and work effectively with team members. Maintain and expand the database of prospects. Attend sales meetings. Develop and maintain good rapport with prospective customers, realtors, and team members. Execute policies to ensure compliance with quality standards. Conduct all business professionally and ethically to serve customers and increase goodwill and profit. Qualifications Associate’s Degree or 2 years of related experience. Must have a vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to drive during daytime or nighttime. Ability to utilize D.R. Horton Sales applications on a smartphone, tablet, or laptop. Capacity to apply common sense to follow instructions given in written, oral, or application form. Proficiency with MS Office and email. Physical ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours, sit for extended periods, kneel and bend at the waist, walk stairs or uneven terrain, use hands to handle objects, and lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions with a generally moderate noise level. Preferred Qualifications Licensing requirements vary by state. Prior CRM software experience. Previous sales experience and industry knowledge.
