Transportation Driver (On Call)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Transportation Driver to join our team at Golden Glades Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Miami, Florida. As a Transportation Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting residents to and from various destinations, including medical appointments, social events, and other activities. This is an on-call position, requiring flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of our residents and facility.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a vehicle to transport residents to and from various destinations

• Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and in good working condition

• Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including mileage, routes, and passenger information

• Develop and maintain a positive and professional relationship with residents, families, and staff

• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure timely and effective transportation of residents

• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations

• Provide assistance to residents with mobility or other special needs

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a good driving record

• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical exam and criminal background check

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations

• Possess a valid Florida Driver's License
