Inside Sales Representative
Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of Inside Sales, Sales Support, Customer Service, or Sales Operations experience. Experience supporting field sales representatives or regional sales teams. Hands-on experience working within an ERP system, preferably: Business Central 14 (BC14) Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Navision. Ability to independently manage quotes, purchase orders, invoices, and order processing activities. Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport and trust. Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced sales environment. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Ability to perform basic pricing and margin calculations. Demonstrated ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Proven history of delivering exceptional customer service and customer follow-up. Comfortable collaborating across sales, operations, customer support, and product management teams.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience: Experience within the electronics, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or component distribution industries. Prior experience with: Molex TE Connectivity Amphenol Similar electronics manufacturers or distributors Knowledge of electronic components, connectors, RF products, test & measurement equipment, or related technologies. Experience supporting customers within aerospace and defense industries. Background in inventory-focused distribution environments. Experience evaluating market pricing and developing competitive quotes. Exposure to commission-based or quota-driven sales organizations.
Job Description: Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound customer communications via phone and email. Serve as the bridge between customers and outside sales representatives by qualifying opportunities and creating warm leads. Prepare, review, and deliver customer quotes while working closely with pricing and product management teams. Utilize Business Central/Navision (BC14) and ERP systems to: Process orders Review invoices and purchase orders Track open orders Generate customer reports Manage quoting workflows Support outside sales representatives by gathering information, coordinating follow-up activities, and helping drive opportunities to close. Communicate proactively with customers regarding order status, product availability, inventory, and pricing updates. Monitor customer activity and identify opportunities for repeat purchases and account growth. Analyze market pricing and inventory availability to support competitive quotations. Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and open opportunities. Deliver a high-touch, "white glove" customer experience through exceptional responsiveness, urgency, and follow-through. Collaborate with regional sales managers and customer support teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Perform basic margin and pricing calculations to support quoting and sales decisions.
