Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse Dallas, Texas. This position involves providing specialized care for neonatal patients in a busy hospital setting. The nurse will work with infants from 28 weeks gestation and above, including preemies, and handle complex clinical procedures. The role requires a dedicated professional to ensure optimal outcomes for vulnerable patients in a dynamic environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting from 08/11/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), minimum 1 year of level III NICU experience, experience with preemies (at least 28 weeks and above), management of central lines, respiratory management including intubation, and procedures such as central line insertions, circumcisions, exploratory laps, gastroschisis reductions, PDA ligations.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for patients up to 2 years old, expertise with trach infants, handling broviacs, and a background working with surgical and cardiac neonatal patients.
• Additional Information: The unit employs advanced equipment including nasal cannula, bubble CPAP, vents, oscillators, IV pumps, NIRS, warmers, and is documented with CPN and Meditech systems. Staffing includes RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and nurse externs, with a staff-to-patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:4. The unit is team-oriented, with a focus on handling complex neonatal cases in a high-acuity environment. Some areas of float include PICU, Pediatrics, and CICU.
