Location Altru Clinic, 1300 S. Columbia Rd., Grand Forks, ND 58201 Summary Position: General Neurologist Average patients/day: 15‑20 New patients: 30‑minute appointments; rechecks: 15 minutes Procedures required: EEG; optional: EMG and Sleep reads Equipment available: 24/7 tele‑stroke coverage for all acute stroke codes in both EOD and inpatient units Voice dictation: Yes (Dragon) EMR: Epic Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with injuries or illnesses Provide comprehensive neurology care and counseling on preventive measures Exercise professional judgment consistent with Altru policies and standards Achieve annual Patient Engagement and Quality & Safety goals Participate in department activities and support goals as defined annually Maintain accurate and timely documentation for quality patient care and reimbursement Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Doctorate in medical practice from an accredited school Admissible to sit for the Canadian or American Board or certified by the Canadian Board and a member of either the Royal College of Physicians or Surgeons, American board certification, or AOA board certification Board certification in specialty within six years of employment Granted medical staff appointments at Altru and associated facilities prior to commencement Insurable under the Health System’s professional liability carrier prior to commencement Licensed to practice medicine in North Dakota and/or Minnesota by the respective Board Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English Maintain accurate documentation and ensure appropriate reimbursements to Altru Perform other duties as assigned Physical Demands Sitting: 34‑66% Standing: 5‑33% Walking: 34‑66% Stoop/Bend: 5‑33% Reach: 34‑66% Handle/Finger/Feel: 67‑100% See: 67‑100% Hear: 67‑100% Weight Demands Lift floor to waist: Carry: Push/Pull: Slide/Transfer: Working Conditions Indoor: 67‑100% Outdoor: Not applicable Extreme Temperature: Not applicable Driving Requirement Infrequent Driver Equal Opportunity Statement Altru is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
