We are seeking an energetic, collaborative, and experienced Patient Access Specialist to join our team! The Patient Access Specialist manages efficient patient flow from arrival to departure, performs various clerical duties, and interfaces with clinic personnel, patients, visitors, and employees to ensure positive relationships. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing excellent patient service. Responsibilities

• Professionally assist with patient check-in by greeting patients with a welcoming smile, verifying insurance, collecting copays, organizing and distributing fax documents, updating appropriate paperwork, and preparing daily charts.
• Professionally assist with patient check-out by scheduling appointments and scanning documents into the electronic medical record.
• Answer incoming telephone calls; handle applicable patient concerns as appropriate, or triage to appropriate staff.
• Travels to Satellite locations
• Make mathematical decisions regarding money exchange between patients and the practice.
• Perform well in a fast-paced, high-volume practice, working multiple stations, including check-in, check-out, phone operator, and preparing charts and supplies for the following day.
• Performs clerical, administrative tasks, and clinic support functions.
• Maintains and keeps patients' information confidential.
• Maintains a clean working environment and EOC guidelines

Education, Training, and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of office experience working in a medical setting
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with patients, physicians, management, and employees
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new software.
• Must be a self-starter, punctual, and dependable.
• Ability to be proactive, take initiative, and perform well in a fast-paced, high-volume practice.
• Excellent Organizational skills, multi-tasking, logical thinking, and prioritizing day-to-day tasks to keep work assignments current.

Maintains strict confidentiality regarding protected health information (PHI) and understands and adheres to TNR's HIPAA privacy and security policies and procedures.

Typical Physical and Working Demands Position requires consistent physical activity, including prolonged walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and stretching. Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination are essential for operating a keyboard, telephone, photocopier, and specialized optical equipment. Requires the ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull heavy items, including optical devices weighing 15 pounds or more. Must possess standard hearing and near/far vision (corrected to normal range) to accurately prepare paper and MDI chart notes, communicate with patients, and generate reports.
