Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Preschool Assistant to join our team. This individual will work closely with our lead therapists and program director to support daily therapeutic play activities, ensuring that each child’s individual needs are met in a structured, engaging, and supportive environment. The ideal candidate has experience working with young children, a strong interest in supporting developmental growth, and excellent communication and teamwork skills. Key Responsibilities Therapeutic Support : Assist lead occupational and mental health therapists in facilitating play-based activities that promote developmental, emotional, and social growth. Snack Management & Allergy Awareness : Oversee snack time with careful attention to dietary restrictions and food allergies. Maintain a clean and safe eating area. Child Supervision & Engagement : Supervise children during play and group activities, ensuring a positive, inclusive, and safe environment. Provide individualized support as needed. Session Preparation & Cleanup : Help set up and organize play spaces and materials prior to each session. Assist with cleanup and organization afterward. Observation & Documentation : Support the observation and documentation of children’s progress under the guidance of lead therapists to inform intervention strategies. Collaboration & Communication : Work collaboratively with team members to maintain a cohesive, nurturing environment. Provide updates to caregivers as needed. Health & Safety Compliance : Adhere to health, hygiene, and safety protocols to ensure a secure and structured space for all participants. Administrative Support : Assist with tasks such as preparing visual aids, copying materials, and assembling craft or therapy project models. Supply & Facility Management : Help organize, restock, and maintain therapy materials. Support the cleanliness and upkeep of shared RSG areas, including the bathroom and kitchen.
