Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care while ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our patients. You will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients about proper dental hygiene practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar.
- Conduct patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing oral examinations.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure infection control during all procedures.
- Assist the dentist during various procedures as needed, ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic.
- Operate dental equipment and instruments safely and effectively.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred, with familiarity in using Dentrix being a plus.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control protocols.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Aseptic technique proficiency is essential to maintain a sterile environment.
- Previous experience assisting in dental procedures is advantageous.
