Registered Nurse - Intermediate Intensive Care (IICU)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shifts: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Intensive Care Unit (IICU). This position requires candidates to work two of the three holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's. The ideal candidate will have experience in critical care nursing with a focus on adult patients requiring close monitoring and interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients, including trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology cases.
• Administer medications, including titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and perform necessary interventions every 1-2 hours.
• Respond to emergencies and manage dysrhythmias effectively.
• Utilize electronic health record systems (EPIC) for documentation and patient management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with at least one completed travel assignment.
• Previous experience in ICU or IICU with an acuity ratio of at least 1:3.
• Active SC or multistate nursing license required.
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
• 1 year of EPIC experience is required.
