We are a growing, patient-focused office that emphasizes teamwork and ongoing learning. Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients; support comfort and patient education throughout treatment Review patient health history to provide quality care Take and process X-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.) Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) during procedures in compliance with state practice act Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols per OSHA & CDC recommendations Manage supplies and inventory; place and expedite orders as needed Collaborate with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow Minimum Qualifications Education & Certifications: High School Diploma/GED State Issued Dental Assistant Permit & X-Ray Credentials Coronal Polishing Certification 2+ years of Dental Assistant experience Dentrix or other dental software experience Hands-On Experience: Make temps, scan, denture/partial adjustments, impressions and pouring Dental Knowledge, Software & Tools: Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology Microsoft Office Suite experience Skills & Culture Fit Collaborative team player who thrives in supportive, family-like environments Dedicated, dependable with a positive attitude and service-oriented mindset Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities Adaptable to changing workflows and team dynamics Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving Compliance & Physical Requirements Access to minimum PHI necessary for job functions; HIPAA training and data safeguards required Physical ability to perform essential duties; lifting up to 45 pounds; prolonged sitting/standing Availability to attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically TB test required for all new hires (not applicable in FL & TN) About Heartland Dental Heartland Dental is the nation’s largest dental support organization, providing non-clinical administrative support to more than 3,000 doctors in 39 states and DC across more than 1,850 offices.
