Become a part of our team at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Santa Rosa, CA, as a Physician specializing in Primary Care!

The Physician will function as a Primary Care Provider (PCP) within any Community Based Outpatient Clinic. This clinic operates using a Patient Aligned Care Team Model. Alongside a dedicated team that includes a PCP, RN, LVN, and a Clerk, the PCP will manage a patient panel of approximately [insert number] individuals. The role involves delivering primary care services in a collaborative environment, focusing on chronic disease management and preventive health. Typical conditions treated include diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, degenerative arthritis, depression, congestive heart failure, and chronic pain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations, diagnoses, treatments, and consultations for non-surgical adult patients across all age groups, addressing a variety of diseases, injuries, and disorders without life-threatening complications.

• Assess and stabilize patients with urgent medical conditions, determining their care pathway in accordance with medical staff policies regarding emergency and consultative services.

• Work collaboratively with and supervise mid-level providers, such as nurse practitioners, while coordinating with various specialties (and subspecialties) both within and outside the VA system to manage or co-manage patient health.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary Range: Expected to be between $285K and $315K (negotiable based on the candidate's qualifications, credentials, and experience).

• Education Debt Reduction Program: Available for student loan repayment.

• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, excluding Federal Government holidays.

• Compensation: Competitive salary, annual performance bonuses, and regular salary increases.

• Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid leave annually, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and potentially 5 days for continuing medical education (CME).

• Retirement Benefits: Includes a traditional federal pension (with a 5-year vesting period) and a federal 401K with contributions of up to 5% from the organization.

• Insurance Coverage: Federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care insurance (many federal insurance options can be maintained into retirement).

• Licensure: Requires one full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory.

• CME Reimbursement: Up to $1,000 per year (must be full-time with board certification).

• Malpractice Coverage: Liability protection provided at no cost, including tail coverage.

• Contractual Terms: No Physician Employment Contract and minimal restrictions on moonlighting.
