Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the operation of forklift in a safe and effective manner. The operator will lift and pull items from 5,000 15,000 pounds.

Operates motorized equipment used to move piping, vessels, engine compressors and coolers. Will drive lifts from 5,000 15,000 lbs. Will also lift and move 12X18 pallets with spotters to watch skid movement. Maintain accurate logs and records. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods. Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures. Work under direct supervision.

High school diploma/GED preferred. Minimum 0 4 years of related experience or training in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience lifting, push and pull a minimum of 5,000 pounds repeatedly. Certification required. Perform manual tasks for extended periods in unfavorable weather conditions. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices. May rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required including fluid and filter changes. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
