CVICU RN - 3x12-Hour Days

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-hour Days, 07:30 AM - 08:00 PM. Every other weekend and holidays required as scheduled.

Job Description

The CVICU RN will provide care for patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit. Responsibilities include managing complex cardiac patients post-surgery, including CABG, valve repairs, and related diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Arterial line management and central line care/management.
• Continuous IV sedation and paralysis management.
• Assist with chest tube insertion/removal.
• Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients.
• Blood product administration and interpretation of arterial blood gases.
• Post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients.
• Monitor and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active MD RN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• A minimum of 2 years of CVICU or open-heart experience preferred.
• Experience with charting systems, ideally Epic.
