Dietary Aides are responsible for but not limited to: Cleaning equipment, utensils, etc. and his/her work area.What will I do as a Dietary Aide?Assist in the serving of breakfast tray-line for Health Care.Use daily food production logs and recipes to produce menu items in correct portions and amounts.Prepare salads, desserts and fruit for Health Care and Galilee dinner and supper.Serve residents in cooperation with nursing staff and according to resident preferences and diet order.Complete knowledge of menu and daily specials.Knowledge of modified consistency dietary needs.What do I need to be a Dietary Aide?Must have the ability to interact well with elderly residents and staff.Must have basic knowledge of food quality and nutrition.One year previous experience with food preparation and food service preferred.Willingness to perform repetitive tasks; possess a cooperative, reliable attitude.Demonstrates good communication skills with staff and management.Must have the ability to follow and produce necessary food items in accordance of the use of a standardized recipe.Must possess basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.Basic computer skills.Why choose Morningstar Living?Our organization opened the Moravian Hall Square campus in 1988.
