Summary:As a member of the Public Safety EMS team, you will be providing medical care to guests and fellow team members when a situation rises. You will actively assess conditions and environments for safety concerns through an auditing process and as part of assigned investigations.What You Will Be DoingProvide emergency medical care to guests and team members as necessaryDocument all patient care and audits/investigations using an approved computer-based records systemConduct safety audits and investigations as assignedComply with all Great Escape Resort policies and proceduresAssist Guests and Employees as necessary Operate in a safe manner and promote a positive safety cultureHow You Will Do ItWillfully perform duties in any department at The Great Escape Resort when necessaryBe an active team memberMaintain a clean and safe environment for guests and team membersComplete all tasks as assignedPerform other incidental and related duties as required and assignedWhat You Will NeedMust be at least 18 years oldPossesses and maintains a valid New York State Emergency Medical Technician - Basic certification and completes all requirements for renewal, including continuing education classes or hoursPossesses and maintains a valid professional rescuer C.P.R. and AED certification or an accepted equivalent nationally standardized Adult/Child/Infant CPR and AED course completion cardPossesses and maintains a valid state Driver's LicensePossesses and maintains a valid park Driver's permitAbility to lift, carry, and balance heavy loadsAbility to lift, carry, balance, manipulate and operate tools, equipment, instruments, implements and etc. to the specifications, standards, etc., of the manufacturer or Patient Care ProtocolsAbility to operate radio communications equipmentAbility to interpret written, oral and diagnostic from instructionsAbility to use good judgment and remain calm in high stress situationsAbility to work effectively in an environment with loud noises and flashing lightsAbility to function effectively through an entire shift or assignmentAbility to calculate weight and volume ratios and read small print both under life threatening time restrictionsAbility to read and understand English language manuals texts and mapsAbility to converse and comprehend English effectivelyAccurately discern and interpret directions, street signs, addresses and landmarksAbility to appropriately interview patient, family members, bystanders and witnessesAbility to document in writing, all relevant information in a prescribed formatGood manual dexterity, with ability to handle tools, equipment, etc. in order to perform all tasks related to the duties of First Aid personnelAbility to walk, run, bend, stoop and crawl on uneven terrainAbility to withstand varied environmental conditions such as extreme heat, cold, moisture, dryness, etcAbility to work in low light, confined spaces and potentially hazardous environmentsAbility to perform EMS and occupational functions as requiredAbility to actively communicate with large groups of GuestsBe available to work flexible hours at nights and on weekends within the limits of applicable Federal, State and facility labor laws and guidelinesWhy work with us?Pay Rate: $17.00 Paid training Advancement opportunities Overtime pay eligible after 40 hours Year-round job opportunities Exclusive employee parties and events for you and your family
