Job Description Care2U is a fast-growing healthcare startup providing ondemand, in-home, urgent, and acute care throughout Manhattan, the surroundingboroughs, Nassau, and Westchester counties, focusing on providing apatient-centered care experience. Our goal is to keep patients in their homesand out of the hospital. The dispatcher plays a critical role in managing both urgent and ongoingcare needs for our patients. This position supports field staff througheffective communication and coordination, ensuring smooth day-to-dayoperations. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth. Primary Responsibilities Call Management : Answer calls promptly andprofessionally, obtaining critical information from callers Situation Assessment : Evaluate the location andnature of visits. Confer with a supervisor when needed to determine theappropriate level of response. Scheduling : Actively manage the patientscheduling system, updating arrival times and adjusting provider timeslots based on field staff updates. Dispatch Operations : Assign field staff based oncall priority and location of available units. Real-Time Communication : Provide timely updates on fieldstaff locations and ETAs to clinical and leadership teams. Caller Instructions : Offer preparation instructionsto patients or caregivers while field staff are en route. Monitoring and Coordination : Track field unit locations andstatuses, coordinating activities to maintain operational efficiency. Documentation : Maintain accurate and timelyrecords of calls, responses, and outcomes in the dispatch system. Protocol Adherence : Follow established companyprotocols and procedures to ensure compliance. Information Gathering : Ensure all necessaryinformation and items are collected before field staff leave a patient’shome. Operational Support : Provide field units with updateson patient orders, traffic, obstacles, and other logisticalconsiderations. Monitor routes and adjustpriorities to optimize scheduling and coverage. Calm under pressure with theability to make quick, sound decisions. Highly organized and capable ofmanaging multiple tasks independently. Comfortable working in afast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong judgment and criticalthinking skills. Collaborative mindset with afocus on supporting both field and leadership teams. Flexibility to work shifts,including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Resides in or near New York Cityor Long Island, or willing to commute within the operational area. Experience in healthcare ordispatching preferred but not required.
