UC Steward

Overview:The steward is responsible for washing the dishes, pot, pans, glassware, utensils for the area. The steward must ensure that work area is kept clean and presentable with clean China, glassware, silverware.Responsibilities for Steward/DishwasherScrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into dish machineWash and sanitize all pans, utensils, and dishesClean, sanitize, and maintain dish machineUnload dishes and utensils from dish machine and organize them properlyEmpty trash containers regularlyMaintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as neededPerform additional cleaning duties as requestedClean food prep stations and equipmentDisplay good customer relation skills and take initiative to greet guest in a friendly manner when appropriate.Report to work for scheduled shift, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policyHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferredRestaurant experience preferred, but not requiredMust be able to stand continuously throughout an 8-hour shiftAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsComfortable bending, climbing, reaching, stooping, and moving quicklyAbility and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays #J-18808-Ljbffr Pontchartrain Detroit Hotel LLC
