This position requires travel to make field service and repair calls occasionally and attend any required training. The position's primary focus is to diagnose and repair the work equipment, which requires electrical and hydraulic diagnosis experience. The work related to the chassis is limited to performing routine PM inspections and requirements for fuels, fluids, and lubrication.Essential Functions of the Job:Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systemsEffectively read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematicsPerform all scheduled PM inspections of chassis, vacuum body, hydraulic, electrical, air and water systemsConduct all repairs within DOT or OEM standards and service to return rental equipment "Ready to Rent" statusPerforms and document "check in" and "check out" inspections of fleet equipmentMaintain and organize shop and storage areas, ensuring Super Products standard of excellence is met.Effectively complete all documentation of work performedKnowledge, Skills, and, Abilities (KSA's):Possess a solid understanding of the function, operation, and maintenance of truck-mounted vacuum equipment preferredMust demonstrate a solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems and electrical troubleshootingAbility to read, analyze, and interpret technical data, drawings, and schematicsAbility to administer DOT inspectionsPossess basic / position-related computer skillsMust be organized and possess the ability to multi-taskDemonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team, as well as work alone effectivelyBe self-motivated, shows complete accountability, is timely in all assignmentsMust own and supply a basic set of hand tools and storage box.
