Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 5 years of RN experience required; inpatient psychiatric experience within the last 3 months. License: Active Vermont or Compact license required. Certifications: American Health Association BLS certification required. Must-Have: - Recent adult intensive experience within the last 3 months. - Psychiatric/Behavioral Health experience with age groups listed on résumé. - Willingness to float to other units and take charge shifts. - 2 supervisory references from the last 2 years of employment. - CPI certification confirmation at time of submission. Description: This role is within an intensive care unit focused on adults with behavioral health challenges. Candidates must be comfortable and highly experienced in managing complex nursing care needs. The position involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to identify individual and group needs. Nurses will utilize the nursing process to meet the needs of patients requiring complex care. Clinical supervision of mental health workers will be part of the responsibilities to ensure safe and therapeutic care delivery. The unit provides 24-hour care in a nurturing environment designed to promote healing and recovery. The focus of treatment is to help patients develop and maintain sobriety while addressing co-occurring psychiatric disorders. Staff will be involved in delivering high-quality intervention, medically assisted withdrawal, and stabilization education. Candidates should have flexibility regarding scheduling, with the understanding that certain blackout dates apply.
