Crew Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily crew operations to ensure efficiency and professionalism
• Perform advanced tree climbing for pruning, removals, and specialty services
• Operate and maintain climbing gear, chainsaws, and rigging equipment safely
• Assess tree health and stability, identifying potential hazards
• Apply proper pruning techniques to enhance tree health and appearance
• Execute safe and efficient tree and limb removals
• Coordinate with ground crew for effective debris handling and site cleanup
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe job sites
• Communicate with clients and provide professional tree care recommendations
• Oversee proper use and maintenance of equipment and vehicles
• Enforce safety protocols, OSHA compliance, and company policies
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients on-site

Qualifications

• Experience in tree climbing, pruning, and removals
• At least 2 years of leadership experience in tree care or landscaping crews
• Strong knowledge of tree species, health assessments, and safety practices
• Ability to operate and maintain tree care and landscaping equipment
• Excellent teamwork, leadership, and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
• ISA Certification preferred but not required
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
