Scotts/Hawthorne will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.**We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our Scotts Miracle Gro team in Palmdale, FL!*****2nd Shift 6 pm - 6:30 am***The Night Shift Machine Operator will be working at a Scott's production facility operating various machines associated with the production of mulch and soil products.**What you’ll do in this role:*** Set up and operate machinery associated with product packaging* Ensure preventative maintenance is performed on a regular basis* Maintain activity logs/downtime paperwork* Operate forklifts to transport materials* Work within the guidelines of all safety procedures* Actively maintain good housekeeping standards assigned to your area* Solve daily operations problems with limited supervision* Ensure product quality by conducting a periodic quality checklist* All other duties assigned**What you’ll need to be successful:*** High School diploma or equivalent.* Able to identify all materials used, detail oriented, follow safe practices and procedures, ability to read English and or follow directions* Valid U.S. driver's license* Able to work in a dusty environment, hot/cold/ rainy weather, lift 50 pounds, and be able to climb ladders and work on their feet for the entire day.* Analytical thinking and problem solving skills* Ability to work and communicate well with others* Attention to detail**What we do for you (just to name a few cool ones):*** Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, holidays, vacation and sick time benefits available within a month of your start date* Healthcare navigation, advocacy and support* 401(k) company match up to 7.5% with immediate participation and vesting* Ability to purchase company stock at a 15% discounted price from market value* $600 annual wellness reimbursement program* Up to $30,000 to help cover the cost of fertility treatments, adoption or surrogacy* Up to 18 weeks of time away to support your growing family* To view all of our great benefits, click here!
