Growing together.The Senior Patient Access Representative provides a standard registration process by collecting demographic and financial data and enter information into a electronic medical record.If you live near Minneapolis, MN, you'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Collects demographic and insurance informationDocuments any issues and resolutions in electronic medical recordUses resources, tools and procedures to complete registration for complex accountsVerifies eligibility and benefits information for payers and interprets results focusing on complex billing situationsObtains cost information and explains information to patient if necessaryCollects co-pay or deductiblesAssists and counsels patient with application process for available financial assistance programsAssists patient with setting up payment plans or connecting with resources for outstanding balancesUses resources, tools and procedures to complete accounts in assigned work queuesYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:2+ years of revenue cycle experience in a hospital/healthcare setting2+ years of customer service experienceIntermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office ProductsAbility to work 8:30am-5:00pm CST Monday-FridayReside within a commutable distance of Minneapolis, MNAbility to travel onsite 2-4 times per yearMust be 18 years or olderPreferred Qualifications:Experience with electronic medical recordsPatient Access and/or Financial Counseling experience*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.**PLEASE NOTE** The sign-on bonus is only available to external candidates.
